We couldn't end this blog without getting a glimpse of Jenn on Holiday and what she loves about the Gold Coast.
Q: What is your favourite place to stay for architectural aesthetics?
A: I have a soft spot for designer boutique hotels, but a very memorable one was from a recent stay in Mallorca, Spain, where we enjoyed a local house amidst an olive farm. Constructed from traditional stone, it was set in a picturesque landscape, complete with a pool house under an olive tree—it was an absolute dream!
Q: What makes you feel at home on holiday?
A: Surprisingly, it's those little details like clean drawers in the bedrooms where I can unpack and hide away my suitcase. Also having products available where I can easily clean up after myself makes a huge difference! Being a mother of two, don't forget that stick vacuum!
Q: What is your favourite place to visit or activity to do on the Gold Coast?
A: Burleigh Hill and the walk through the national park never gets old.
Q: Tell us your favourite restaurant on the Gold Coast?
A: I am such a foodie and love my bold flavours. A couple of standouts that never disappoint is Eddie & Wolf in Robina and Anekawa in Mudgeeraba
Q: Where would you love to travel to for your next family adventure?
Swimming with the whale sharks in the Maldives is still very high on our to do list!
Q: If Laya was a holiday home why would it be the perfect place to stay for guests? (can be about the house or location)
A: The location is truly fantastic – just a short stroll to the local bus stop, offering direct routes to the Gold Coast Airport, Pacific Fair, and other shopping centers. Plus, there are cafes and restaurants right around the corner, and you can walk to the beach and supermarket. And let's not forget the family park and playground just 200 meters away!
As for Laya itself, it's packed with design elements that give it a luxurious feel, reminiscent of a day spa or boutique hotel.
