Halle had just returned from living in Bali, working as a remote graphic designer for a top notch Gold Coast company. Teliah was on maternity leave, swapping life as one of Brisbane’s best performing Buyers Agents and investment advisors to focus on baking the bun in her oven. I guess the baby hormones, mixed with the delirium of too many cocktails in the Balinese sun, got to their heads, and they thought, Life is too simple. We want to work harder than ever before and build an empire fuelled by our passions, one that, one day, will be recognised globally.
With a clear gap in the holiday letting market, our two worlds collided. Halle worked hard to catch up to catch up to speed with Teliah’s 13 years of property expertise, obtaining her real estate registration and gaining experience in holiday home management by becoming managing director of an established holiday home company already based on the Gold Coast. Teliah’s oven bells went off and her baby daughter was welcomed into the world.
It was as if the race had begun, and Teliah took no time to get the ball rolling. After launching Khove, we dove deep and fully immersed ourselves in the world of short-term rentals. With selected owners’ consent, we aspired to fail, to test the market, to spot trends, identify our weaknesses and hone our strengths. We pulled that arrow as far back as it could go, and now we are flying forward with streamlined procedures, thought-out policies, proven strategies, confident staff and top-of-the-line industry connections.
